About this Story

“Emotions, Humor, Self-Acceptance”

Hey there, young readers! 📚❤️ Welcome to our reading circle.

I just finished reading “Grumpy Monkey” by Suzanne Lang and illustrated by Max Lang, and I couldn’t wait to share my thoughts! 📖🐵

This delightful picture book introduces us to Jim Panzee, a chimp who wakes up feeling grumpy. His friends try to cheer him up with all sorts of suggestions—dancing, walking, splashing in water—but nothing seems to work! What makes this story so special is how it teaches children (and adults!) that it’s okay to have grumpy days and that we don’t always need to be “fixed.” 🌟

The illustrations by Max Lang are absolutely hilarious! Jim’s grumpy expressions are so relatable and funny, you can’t help but laugh. The jungle setting comes alive with vibrant colors and adorable animal characters who mean well but just don’t understand that sometimes we need to sit with our feelings. 🎨😄

This book is perfect for little ones learning about emotions and for parents who want to help their children understand that all feelings are valid. It’s a gentle reminder that we don’t have to be happy all the time, and that’s perfectly okay! 💕

Thank you for once again joining our reading circle. We’re thrilled to have you here. Don’t forget to explore our YouTube channel, where you’ll find a treasure trove of captivating read-aloud books that both parents and kids will love!
